Crispy Pizza (crave salty, cheesy, carb)

This is for when you don't want to spend 300 Calories per slice on a pizza that may or may not entirely disappear in 1 sitting only to have you feel hungry again in 3 or 4 hours.



Assemble:

1. Low carb tortillas, 45 Calories each

2. Bertolli spaghetti sauce 25 Calories for a quarter cup

3. Low fat mozzarella cheese 45 Calories per quarter cup (trust me, tastes the same when cooked)

4. Your choice of topping: peppers, pepperoni slices, mushrooms, onions; many of these toppings are practically "free" for Calorie cost like mushrooms onions and peppers. If you bulk up on these, it will be much more filling and you can be more sparse on the Calorie rich items like pepperoni.


Cost per mini pizza: 105 to 200 Calories

Benefits: Can get that crispy crust type feel, carb sweet sauce, savory and salty cheese and meat. Can be very filling if use a lot of "free" fillers like mushroom or peppers. Low overall Calorie cost allows you to eat 2 or 3 of them without breaking the budget.


Assembly is simple. Spray your pan to keep it from sticking with 0 calorie cooking spray. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Assemble ingredients into pizza shape (you know the drill, tortilla, spread pizza sauce on top, sprinkle cheese over top, add toppings). Put in center of rack for 5 minutes. While preheating add however many you want to eat to your Calorie tracker app to account for them. Done! Enjoy :)
